Inortix

Makers of Orbit

Better tools for teams that care about quality.

Inortix is a small team of enthusiasts and professional software engineers, on the backend and the frontend. We build tools that raise the quality of everyday engineering work: how it is planned, built, shipped, run and written down.

Our product

Orbit by Inortix

Private preview

An all-in-one engineering platform for software and business teams: work tracking, Git and CI/CD, observability, a wiki and an AI assistant. The five products share one sign-in, one permission model and one audit log, so work, code, releases, incidents and knowledge stay connected.

  • OrbitPlan

Projects, boards, backlog, sprints, workflows and JQL-style search.

  • ForgeBuild

Code hosting, merge requests, CI/CD pipelines and deployments.

  • PulseObserve

Logs, traces, metrics, monitors, SLOs and incidents. OpenTelemetry first.

  • FolioDocument

Spaces, pages, runbooks and postmortems linked to the work.

  • LumenAsk

An AI assistant across every product that answers with sources.

How we work

What we hold ourselves to

Good tools come from good habits. These four guide every decision we make about Orbit.

Quality before quantity

We would rather ship fewer things that work well than many that half work. Reviews, tests and documentation are part of the work, not an extra.

Open standards

OpenTelemetry for logs, traces and metrics, a REST API described in OpenAPI, and CI/CD pipelines in the familiar .gitlab-ci.yml format. Teams keep their skills and their tools.

Honest about status

Our sites mark every capability as built, in development or planned. We do not publish numbers, logos or quotes we cannot back up.

We use what we build

We plan our own work in Orbit every day, so we meet its rough edges before anyone else does.

Who we are

A small team, on purpose

We are backend and frontend engineers who enjoy the craft of building software and care about doing it properly. Staying small keeps the path short between a question, a decision and a fix.
